The illustration below shows various styles of relay swivel assemblies that can be supplied by Matador to suit the specific operating requirements of the Wrap-Over wiper arm linkage system. These swivel assemblies are required to ensure that as the system operates and the wiper arms start moving from Park through their wiping cycle, they will not collide with one another. This is achieved by altering the rate of movement of the two wiper arms such that one is accelerated at the start of its stroke in comparison with deceleration of the other.
The illustration above shows assemblies that are manufactured to a high quality design standard involving either welding or spin riveting of the lever to the shaft according to the application requirements. It will further be seen that grease lubrication can be provided for the bearings located within the swivel bush tube.
